About Us The Building Owners and Managers Association of Anchorage (BOMA Anchorage) is an organization of commercial property owners, managers, leasing agents and allied professionals with an interest in promoting the professional, educational and legislative interests of the commercial property industry in the State of Alaska. The local chapter, BOMA Anchorage, was established in 1983, and currently represents over 25 million square feet of commercial property in the Municipality of Anchorage. Our membership represents a cross section of the Commercial Real Estate Industry in Alaska, with members in Anchorage, and as far north as Fairbanks and south to Juneau. If you have any ideas for BOMA call any board member. This year our goal is to increase member involvement. Committees Education Committee Chair(s): Mark Rowley The education committee promotes continuing education opportunities for BOMA Anchorage members. BOMA University courses and BOMI education course information is available through this committee. The members plan and coordinate 1 to 2 CEU seminars per year. RPA, SMA, SMT and FMA Course information from BOMI is available through a link from here to the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI). Alaska Real Estate continuing education elective credits (12) are approved for BOMI courses. Elections Committee Chair(s): tba This committee contacts members who are interested in running for election to the Board of Directors, obtains brief resumes from candidates and coordinates the distribution of ballots to the membership. It also tabulates returned ballots prior to the Annual Meeting in the fall. Golf Tournament Committee Chair(s): Darin Floyd This committee is responsible for coordination of BOMA's annual tournament fundraiser, including date and course reservations, catering, registration, advertising to membership, sponsorship recruiting and prizes for participants. Membership Committee Chair(s): Mike Gould The membership committee works to enlist new members and retain current members. Committee members review contacts from prospective members through member sponsorships and other industry connections and continually pursue prospective new members. The committee members host a welcome reception once a year for new members to BOMA Anchorage. Programs Committee Chair(s): The BOMA Board of Directors The Program committee identifies current topics of interest to the professional real estate community and then selects qualified speakers to present programs at monthly luncheons. This Committee also oversees the organization of the Annual Forecast luncheon which is held in January of each year.
